Hdr Imaging

at its best!

Within PhotoPerfect the popular feature HDR is called Dynamic Range Increase (DRI). This function can be used to greatly increase the dynamic range of an image.

To use the function you need at least two images of the same subject which have different degrees of brightness.

After selecting the function from the menu or toolbar, drag and drop the relevant images into the left hand side of the dialog. PhotoPerfect recognizes the differing degrees of brightness and sorts the images accordingly, with the brightest one first.

The basic process is as follows:

The sliders on the right hand side are used to set which brightness ranges of the currently selected image are to be replaced by the corresponding ranges of the image above it. This means that you can only start adjusting the second image; the sliders are not available for the first image.
