Resizing via the "Resize Dialog"
This dialog is used to change the true size of the image. The new size can be given in pixels, inches, centimeters or percent (%). (Depending on the setting in Options, either inches or centimeters are displayed in the dialog.) Activate the required unit by clicking on the center radio button. If the Longest Edge box is checked, the image is scaled so that the shorter edge is adjusted proportionally. This is especially helpful with images which have different formats and which are to be batch processed. If Keep Proportions is unchecked this can distort the image, as the resizing is performed according to the value entered.
