Picture Editing Program
Tutorial: How to use picture editing programs to add more drama to your photos!
In this tutorial we would like to show you how to use the picture editing feature "Brightness Gradient" of PhotoPerfect to make your shot appear as if it was taken at sunrise. In order to do so we brighten up the right part of the picture as if the sunlight was coming from this direction. Please move your mouse over the tabs below the image to see the detailed steps described by this tutorial.

Open picture in PhotoPerfect and choose "Effects / Brightness gradient"
The brightness gradient dialog box will appear.
Position the gradient arrow and increase brightness and saturation
Move the gradient arrow into a position as shown in the example with the arrowhead pointing downwards (1). Increase the value of brightness to 256 and saturation to 146 with the sliders at the right side of the dialog box (2). Click on "Accept" (3) to save the changes.
Move gradient arrow to new position and again increase brightness and saturation
Now move the gradient arrow into its new position with the arrowhead pointing to the lower right corner. Increase the value of brightness to 133 and saturation to 81. Click on "Accept" to save your work.
Re-position the gradient arrow. Increase brightness and decrease saturation
Now move the gradient arrow to its new position with the arrowhead pointing downwards (1). Increase the value of brightness to 256 and decrease the saturation to -41. Click on "Execute" (2) to save your work and return to the main workspace.
Result
As you can see, the changes added a dramatic touch to the originally uniform picture.
