Tilt Shift

at its best!

Tilt&Shift is a very popular feature available in some high-end manual lenses for correcting perspective distortions in landscape and architecture photography. This feature is also offered in PhotoPerfect.

To correct the problem of "converging lines" (also called "plunging lines") the image can be manipulated by projection. The corners can be grabbed using the left mouse button and then moved. By pressing the [Alt] key at the same time, you can cause the next corner in the clockwise sense to move in the opposite way. By using the [Shift] key instead you can cause the next (clockwise) corner to move symetrically. Also, with every correction step the image edge of the unedited image is shown. A grid can be displayed on the editing preview which can be moved by keeping the [Ctrl] key pressed down. The horizontal slider above the image allows you to magnify the preview.
