Unsharp Masking
at its best!
Unsharp Masking (USM) is a process by which edges in an image are accentuated by increasing contrast.
Sharp determines how much an image should be sharpened.
Radius sets the breadth of edges to be processed (transition from light to dark).
The Level slider sets the extent to which details are not considered to be edges and are therefore excluded from the processing.Higher values mean that fewer details (noise, for instance) are sharpened in areas, which can lead to more homogeneous results. The degree of sharpening can be set separately for each color channel by lowering the color channel sliders.
