PhotoPerfect Manual
Aspect Ratios
Sets image sections according to various preset aspect ratios. If you select an aspect ratio while pressing the [Ctrl] key, a centered section in the corresponding format is displayed using the full window. If a given photo format is selected and the rectangle selection completed with [Ctrl] + right mouse button, the image is rescaled according to the photo format. Also, the image is automatically stored in a subfolder of the print service directory if one has been specified. The exact coordinates of the cutting frame can be entered on pressing the [Tab] key (a dialog appears). If the Keep Proportions box is checked, then the aspect ratio is maintained when the cutting frame is enlarged or reduced (after the dialog has been closed).
If a red-yellow dotted line is shown within the cutting frame, this means that the 2mm cutting loss addition as set in the Output format dialog is active. This means that all image elements between the red-yellow dotted line and the cutting frame may be cut off during print service processing. In other words, important elements should remain within the red-yellow rectangle!
