Define 35 mm focal length factor

Digital camera sensors are smaller than conventional 35 mm camera sensors. This means that an conversion factor must be applied to convert the focal length to correspond with the 35 mm format. This function allows you to store the conversion factors for various cameras, so that for each image the correct focal length can be displayed. Normally, you can find further information on this in the digital camera instructions, but the factor can also be calculated by hand. After you have entered an conversion factor it is displayed in the image data.

For some cameras the conversion factor need not be entered, because it is already contained in the Exif data. You can check this simply by looking at the image data.
