PhotoPerfect Manual

Display/Print pages

This is a function which allows you to create layouts easily, for instance for index printing, photo albums, greeting cards etc. The result can be either printed or stored as an image - you can give your creativity free rein!

There are four basic function variations:

Show page as image

A dialog is shown in which you enter details of the page format for the layout. You can select these from a dropdown list of preset values or enter your own. It is important to enter a DPI value in case the page may be transferred to a physical medium later. You can also enter a previously stored page template, in which case you need not enter the size because all relevant data is to be found in the template.

Show series as image

Automatically fills a previously stored page template with the images marked in the thumbnail view. This process can take some time (depending on the images). The result is then stored as an image if required. If there are more marked images in the thumbnail view than can fit into the template, then multiple, consecutively numbered images are created. It is not possible to sort the images subsequently. If you wish to have them custom sorted, you can do this using an Image list beforehand.

Print page

This function is similar to Show page as image, except that the image format used is that which is set in the printer. The printable area is set automatically, always corresponding to the printer setting. The non-printable area is shown as a gray margin. In this way it is possible to cause only parts of an image to be printed.

Print series

This function is similar to Show series as image, except that the images marked in the thumbnail view are sent to the printer. Also, the format set in the printer is used.

Note

If there is a PDF printer driver installed on the system, the series can also be output as a PDF file. Important: In this case the setting Each page as single print job in the Options should be set to No.
