PhotoPerfect Manual

First Steps in PhotoPerfect

Read on to find out quickly how you can load an image, apply the most important editing operations and then save the changes.

Step 1 - load image

First use the PC Directory Structure view (1) to select a folder  on your computer system which contains images. The images in the folder are then displayed in the form of preview images in the Thumbnail View (2). Now simply drag an image from the thumbnail view to the Workbench (3) (or double-click it with the  left mouse button).

Step 2 - edit image

Choose User Dialog from the Edit menu or press the [F7] key. In  this dialog you can work through the tabs from left to right. Each  time you complete work within one tab, click the Accept button and go on to the next one. When you are finished, close the dialog with Execute.

Step 3 - save image

After you a completely finished with editing the image, you can save the result using the Save As dialog in the File menu or by  pressing [Ctrl] + [Shift] + S. This dialog allows you to  make various Settings relating to the storage format.  If it is important that the original image file remains intact, make sure that you enter a new file name or just alter the existing one in some way.
