Select Rectangle

The selection rectangle can be scaled by moving the 8 handles using the left mouse button (if fixed aspect ratio is set there are only 4 handles). If you press the left mouse button while the mouse pointer is within the rectangle, you can then move it as a whole. The right mouse button is used to close and execute the function.

The [Tab] key opens a dialog which allows you to set the  size and position of the rectangle by entering exact figures.

To show the selected rectangle more clearly, the area outside is darkened.
