The preview images can be sorted by the following criteria: unsorted, alphabetical ascending/descending, date ascending/descending. With Presort by extension you can first group images according to their formats; afterwards the sorting is performed within these groupings.

Create preview images

Generates preview images for the current folder (if required for subfolders as well).

90° rotation to left (lossless)

Rotates image 90° counterclockwise. JPEG images are rotated lossless and without re-compression.

90° rotation to right (lossless)

Rotates image 90° clockwise. JPEG images are rotated lossless and without re-compression.

180° rotation (lossless)

Rotates image 180°. JPEG images are rotated lossless and without re-compression.

Note

Image data

This refers to Exif data for JPEG files, which is displayed if present. The items description, photographer and copyright can be edited. Altering the Exif data does not cause the image to be re-compressed. Changes to the file size result from the altered Exif data.

Rename

The selected image can be given a new name.

Delete

Depending on the Options setting Miscellaneous/Image Editing/Delete images to recycle bin, this function either moves selected images to the recycle bin or deletes them permanently.

Copy to clipboard

Copies the selected image to the clipboard.

Full screen view

The selected image is displayed using the whole monitor screen in the best possible quality. Close the view by right clicking or with the [Esc] key. [Space] toggles the image data display. Use the arrow keys or [PageUp], [PageDn] to move to the next image in the list and [Pos1] or [End] to jump to the first or last image. If more than one image is selected, then only these are included in the display, starting with the first in the selection.

Multiple view

All the selected images are shown simultaneously (e.g. for exposure series). With two images the longest edge of the first one determines whether the screen is divided horizontally or vertically. You can load an image for editing with a left double-click and display Exif data with a right click.

Auxiliary view

Loads the selected image to an extra, dockable window, e.g. for comparison.

View using another program

The selected image is loaded into another application for viewing (as set in Options).
