Default Wide gamut monitor

Hi,

If you would like to buy an affordable wide gamut monitor for photo editing, I can recommend from my own experience the HP LP2475w. It is a 24 inches wide screen monitor and is able to cover 100% of the Adobe RGB and beyond. In Europe it is available for around 500 € incl. tax. Currently no other back-lighted LCD in its price range can cover such large color gamut.
The HP sports a S-IPS panel.

However the quality control of this one seems to be a bit gambling-liked. My first one has a disturbing green-to-pink tint and very noticeable uneven backlighting. Besides it has some smaller issue, incl. a strong lag and fragmented screen in combination with my Mac Pro. The exchange panel is on contrary almost flawless and is also almost as good as my EIZO.

Cheers

Daumen hoch Wide gamut monitor

A monitor or display (sometimes called a visual display unit) is an electronic visual display for computers. The monitor comprises the display device, circuitry, and an enclosure. The display device in modern monitors is typically a thin film transistor liquid crystal display (TFT-LCD) thin panel, while older monitors use a cathodic ray tube about as deep as the screen size.

Daumen hoch Wide gamut monitor

The size of an approximately rectangular display is usually given as the distance between two opposite screen corners, that is, the diagonal of the rectangle. One problem with this method is that it does not take into account the display aspect ratio, so that for example a 16:9 21 in (53 cm) wide screen display is far less high, and has less area, than a 21 in (53 cm) 4:3 screen.

Default Re: Wide gamut monitor

Hi,

A wide-gamut monitor is a monitor which is capable of displaying a wider range of colors than a standard gamut monitor.

Thanks
