Photoperfect 2.91 Build 55 and new tutorials released

PhotoPerfect 2.91 build 55 has been released along with new tutorials.

Hi Hoang Tran,

I have installes Ver 2.91 but when I tried to invoke the Batch processing for I2E the Target Path dialogue box did not appear. It was OK for Perfectly Clear and Xe847. Appreciate your help as this is my favorite Batch Processing resource.

Hi Tony,

Thank you for pointing that out. That might be caused by some missing parameters required by the new version of i²e. Please download the following zip file:

i²e batch processing

and unpack it in your:

C:\Users\YOURNAME\Documents\PhotoPerfect\Batch

(or the way around - it is the PhotoPerfect\Batch folder in "My Documents")

folder. By doing so, you will replace the old batch file with the new one.

Please let me know if this fix your issue.

Yes sir! Problem fixed and what else can I expect! BTW, your quick-n-dirty DIY Batch Processing tips above came out quick, clean-n-superb! One thing I found out though. You have to classify the photos in accordance to intensity of Colorcast effect. I learned the hard way that by applying the same correction levels that I used for the model image, those that are less colorcast came out too much in the reverse spectrum, ie., very blue or green. Well, I am learning but I love it.

Regarding the white balance, personally I find that Xe847(ProPlus) and/or RGBMax can do a decent job in automatically correct white balancing issues. So IMO it might be an alternative to add one of them to the batch work flow. BTW you can deactivate all correction features of Xe847ProPlus but the "Temp" option. By doing so you can let Xe847(ProPlus) just corrects the white balance...

Hi Hoang Tran,

What you just mentioned is music to my ear. Unfortunately, I tried doing it but cannot figure out how to go to the batch script of Xe847 and remove everything except the temp. I have about 430 images I took inside a ballroom, wedding of my friend, so definitely, I want to do this in batch mode. Appreciate as always the step-by-step instruction on how I can do this. Sorry again for the ignorance.

I can also bring you around for some photo shootout so some nice places here. Back to my current problem, the 'Target Path for Batch Process" dialogue box when you double click "Batch_Optimize_Xe847" does not pop up. Similar to my prior problem with ......i2e which we resolved by replacing the .fbi file. However, I found later on that this time around, it was the "Target Path..." dialogue box for Xe847 that disappeared. It was OK before when I had the problem with the ....i2e batch resource.

I will be eagerly awaiting your instructions autoWB correction with Batch processing.

Maybe your Xe847 batch file has not been updated correctly during the last update. Please find here again the same batch file for Xe847, which we also bundled with version 2.91:

Please download and again unpack it in your:

C:\Users\Vo.ARCADIA\Documents\PhotoPerfect\Batch

folder and replace the old file.
