hotkeys to ease navigation of pictures folder

Hi, I have been a happy user of Photoperfect for some six months now.
However there is a small detail that would greatly ease navigating folder with many pictures in them: a couple of hotkeys that, once you've opened a picture in a folder, allow you to open the next (in alphabetical filename order) one present in the folder, while closing the one now open, and to do the same in reverse order.
This is great comfort when you are going through all the images in a folder, modifying the ones that need some twitching, and simply viewing the others in sequence. Both the other 2 apps I use with images (xnview and photofiltre) have such hotkeys.... but as far as i know they are absent in photoperfect. I have tried virtually all the possible combination of keys to no avail.

The option you suggested however already exists within PhotoPerfect. Please just go to ' File - Options - Miscellaneous' , change the option 'Load selected preview immediately' to 'Yes' and click on 'OK' to close the option window. After that you should be able to use the arrow keys of your keyboard to navigate between the images located in the current folder.

Per default the images are sorted alphabetically. You can however also apply another sorting order by right-clicking one of thumbnails in the thumbnail viewer and change the 'Sort' option.

Hey, huge thanks for the hint!!!!!!!!! Now I will enjoy using photoperfect even more than before...... to be honest I had read through all options on search of something like this, but did not try the one you pointed at: IMHO the item description could be more explicit in describing the effect; it seems to regard the fact that the program reads in memory a full image when its thumb is selected but not yet opened.... in short, quite a different thing.... or maybe this options has such effect also, but not only that. So I would perhaps suggest to try clarifying the option description.
Anyway what matters now is that the thing works!

Yes, but this is done on purpose due to a demand of a lot of users. However as we also know that others would still like to have the option to navigate, too - hence the choice to set it up.

We will try to implement that into the next official release.
