Default Won't Open if Previous Folder Missing

I'm testing the free version of PhotoPerfect Express to see if I like it.

I've noticed that if the folder you had opened when you closed your last session has been deleted the program will not open when you go to start it again. If that folder is restored, PhotoPerfect Express starts normally.

Is this the way it normally runs or is there a setting someplace that I can adjust to overide this or have it always open in a default folder I designate?

Default Re: Won't Open if Previous Folder Missing

Hi,

As default PhotoPerfect Express always starts opening the last used folder. This is a setting, which has been asked for by the majority of our users.
If that folder has been removed or renamed, PPE will automatically revert back to the desktop, as the rendering engine requires at least 1 image of a supported formats (JPEG, PNG, TIFF). On a few systems this might cause the behaviour you described. Please find below a new build, which can fix this:

PPE Build 80

This version will revert to the 'Sample Images' folder instead.

Best regards

Hoang-Tran

Thank you. What you described is exactly what was happening to me. The newer build solved the problem and seems to revert to the sample photos when the previous folder used has been removed. That makes a whole lot more sense to me.

Appreciate the prompt response and solution.
