So why add PhotoPerfect to your desktop?
Well, let's see four quick examples for professional editing tasks:
1. Brightness gradient
Brightness gradient:
This feature enables you to create dramatically more vivid, unique lighting effects in your pictures. It works great to transform boring, "flat" pictures into breath-taking ones by adding directional lightings, selective contrast, saturation and sharpness.
The best thing about the brightness gradient is its quick and easy approach to get results - like numerous other tools of PhotoPerfect. All parameters are controlled by the gradient arrow for direction and size of the transition zone and two sliders for brightness and saturation.
You can play around a bit with them in the corresponding dialog window until you are satisfied with the result and then press “Execute” to apply your settings to the photo...
Just move your mouse over the "Before" and "After" tabs above to see the difference. Impressive, isn't it ?

2. Better resizing algorithms
During the resizing or reshaping process, all pixels need to be recalculated. Most programs would not be able to do that without smearing the text, rendering it unreadable. But look, what PhotoPerfect can do:

3. Shifting
Perspective correction (Shifting):
When taking photographs of buildings and architectures, you often get nasty perspective-distorted results. The top of the building would appear much smaller than the base and vertical lines seem to run away from you or just tilt to the side.
By using the perspective correction feature of PhotoPerfect, you can correct the distortions quickly and effortlessly with a few mouse clicks. Just drag the edges of the photo until the vertical lines are straightened again and you are done. The result is a correct display of your motif.
Please move your mouse over the "Before" and "After" tabs to see what a difference PhotoPerfect can make.

4. Extensive saving options
Do you want to know how much compression your jpeg can sustain before the usual artefacts ruin your work? Just click on the “Delta Preview” and move the “Quality”-slider left and right to see for yourself.

One click on “determine file size” and you won’t need to save it first and look at it with the Windows-Explorer to find out!
Filesize should not exceed 100kb? Just enter 100 into the respective box and click “determine quality for”. PhotoPerfect then automatically chooses the optimal compression rate for you.
